Hi friends, my name is Dave Reid. Thanks for visiting!
If you want to improve your English, I can help! English lessons with me are fun, interesting and relevant. No matter what your current level or focus, I am flexible and ready to help. I’ve been a musician for more than 40 years and an English teacher for more than 20 years. In addition to being a professional English teacher, I am a guitar player, collector, and basic guitar technician.
I’ve been playing in bands on and off since I was 16 years old. Starting out, I played bass guitar in my teens and early twenties, including covers, originals, and some recording work. After moving to Germany, I played 12-string in an acoustic duo for about eight years, and over the last few years I’ve been playing electric guitar with friends and in a local cover band. In 2017 I started studying rock lead guitar. Around that same time, I also started collecting guitars (GAS!) and learning how to service, repair and set up guitars.
As a career, I am a full-time English teacher with my own English training business, located in Wangen im Allgäu, Germany, near the east end of Lake Constance. I provide English training for adults, mostly in firms, both in-person and online using Microsoft Teams. I teach business English, technical English, phone skills, writing, English for travel, and general conversation. I also provide editing and translating services. I hold a professional certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of California San Diego.
If you or your staff need better English skills to further your business, I am ready to help!
