Originally from San Diego, David Reid founded English Training Reid in 2006 and has since supported companies and individuals across Southern Germany. With a background as a pilot, instructor, and entrepreneur, he combines expertise with practical teaching methods. His passion for language, music, and technology shapes his flexible and motivating lessons, always tailored to his learners’ needs. Before moving to Germany, David had a successful career in aviation. In the 1990s, he served as Chief Pilot and Director of Training at San Diego’s largest charter airline. In 2000, he founded Alpen Jet Management, a company that operated and managed business jets for private clients. As a flight instructor and FAA examiner, his work focused heavily on training, safety, and standardization—skills that now shape his teaching approach. David is also a passionate musician, guitarist, and technician with deep knowledge of the guitar and music industry. His experience in residential maintenance and renovation during the 1980s adds a practical dimension to his training, especially when working with tradespeople.

Alisa Heutmann – English Trainer & Communication Specialist
Originally from New Zealand, Alisa Heutmann has been living and working in the Allgäu region of Germany for many years. With a background in musicology and a strong foundation in adult education, she brings over eight years of teaching experience to her English training practice. Alisa offers customized English courses for companies, groups, and individual learners. Whether the focus is on conversation, reading comprehension, or grammar, her lessons are built on a dynamic blend of methods and materials that make learning both engaging and effective. No two sessions are alike – each one is tailored to the specific needs of her students, creating a motivating and rewarding learning experience. Alisa believes that learning should be enjoyable. Mistakes are not only accepted but encouraged as essential steps toward progress. With openness, encouragement, and a healthy dose of humor, she helps learners discover how vibrant and fulfilling the English language can be.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Anthony Heeney combines over 20 years of military service with more than a decade of English training. As an external specialist, he supports professionals in areas such as HR, IT, law, finance, and defense-related projects. His trainings are practical, interculturally aware, and tailored to the specific needs of each client. Alongside his military career, Anthony holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Following his military service, he transitioned into the corporate world as a Quality and Compliance Manager, becoming a certified auditor for DIN/ISO 9001 and 27001 standards, as well as a Health and Safety Advisor.

Renate Klein – Executive German Language Coach
Renate Klein combines deep business acumen with many years of experience as a business coach and communication trainer. With a background in banking, a degree in business administration, and additional qualifications in human resource management, she has built a career that bridges corporate leadership and professional development. Her career began in the banking sector, where she held roles as clerk, branch manager, and sales director. Driven by a passion for empowering others, Renate transitioned into coaching and education, where she now designs and delivers impactful workshops, seminars, and training programs. As a seasoned lecturer and speaker, Renate is known for delivering content that is practical, engaging, and results-oriented. Her clients appreciate her clarity, warmth, and strong focus on measurable outcomes. Renate is also a published author, contributing articles to professional journals and developing modules for distance learning programs.
